So I went to Mushin on a Easter Monday to get some materials for some projects, guess what my guys were in celebration mood, nobody opened shop. Instead, cows were being slaughtered, food was being prepared and I heard it was free for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Music stages was being set up for a carnival experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Boys closed the streets and began to play street football.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Guess what, after completing some designs in a makeshift office, I packed my laptop in the car and joined street football. I’ve never played street football (even in my days in Ojodu).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was so refreshing, and of course I tired out pretty quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What really surprised me was that 90% of the guys were not Christians. So why did this Easter Monday mean so much?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let me tell you why, I know these people so well. If you’re looking for hardworking people. If you’re short of words on how to describe hardworking, just use Mushin traders as example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So whenever they have any opportunity to take the elusive rest, boy, they party hard! They care less who is celebrating, for them it’s the season to take a break from the unending hardwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of my ogas (I know he or his wife will read this) was making jest of me. He said to me on the phone, “Iwo Pastor naa fe sise lojo Easter” meaning “How can a whole Pastor like you want to work during Easter celebrations?”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
